It's Throwback Thursday! Five years ago, a group of EOC students voyaged into Yellowstone National Park with some area experts to track wolves. They also learned about geology, winter, outdoor safety and the other animals of Yellowstone. We love our experiential field trips.

No school next week (2/17-2/21) for conferences.

Check out this piece of art created by Haven! One of the highlights of her artist's statement is the story behind the image. This dog was a service dog in California and was taken away after it became illegal to own a pitbull in the part of the city where the owner resided. Haven used her art to highlight a social justice platform she feels passionate about. Thank you for sharing your work and your passion Haven!

Congratulations to Landon Dahl for graduating from the Youth in Government program!! Landon started as a Senator and worked her way up to Legislative Specialist which means she taught legislative classes and was a participant of National Issues Forum, where out of 100 proposals hers was 1 of 5 to make it to the last round. For her last year she became an appointed official and did extra training throughout the year. When Landon graduates from EOC, she will wear this cord to show her accomplishments in the program. Landon will deeply miss Youth in Government.

It is National School Counseling Week! We love our new school counselor! Thank you for all you do to make EOC even better for our students!

It is Paraprofessional Recognition Week! We love our paraprofessionals and all they do. Thank you for your endless energy and work with students!

Today was EOC's first Experience Day! Students attended sessions about topics ranging from safety in the kitchen to brain sensations. A career panel was held in a session called "Oh the Places You'll Go" and students learned financial literacy in the "I'm Rich, or am I?" session. Thanks everyone for participating!

Check out this show-stopping art created by our Art Hive students!

No school on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We encourage students to take some time on this day to do community work or to engage in research about civil rights leaders. See you Tuesday!

Throw back Thursday to Chris's advisory field trip in which we see Chris experience the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

It's incredible what our students created when given simply a triangle and time to use their imagination.

Megan's advisory had a paw-some time at The Cafe Meow!

Jane has been a student intern at Dr. Conlea's Converging Approaches to Neurodevelopment research lab, at the University of Minnesota, after participating in a tourette research study and symposium. "The Wonder Years" was a University of Minnesota Foundation event that focused on innovative neurobehavioral initiatives at the University. Jane did the voice over and was a participant in a short video about the event.
