This summer: Jess went camping and exploring Minnesota. She biked the trails at Itasca State Park and Bemidji State Park. She traveled to Duluth & saw the lakewalk, rose garden, ships, zoo animals, the aquarium, and went golfing! Jess read 30 books & has only 38 more to go. :)
School starts in ONE MONTH! We are looking forward to seeing you!
This Summer: Larry went to an exceptional performance of Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost" in which EOC student Cassidy Berg played the King of Navarre.

An opportunity for interested families...
Thank you! Pidamaya! Miigwech! We learned so much about the indigenous of Minnesota during our Trip. Thanks to all those who helped us along the way, from our various presenters and the Experiential Education team to the school board and chaperones that made this trip possible.
Day Five of our June Trip: The Chief Buffalo Memorial Lake Walk, a visit to Indigenous First with a guided tour of the "Birchbark & Cattails" Exhibit, and a journey to the Frog Bay National Tribal Park. We found connections to the land everywhere we went.
Day Four of our June trip: Visit to the Fond du Lac Ojibwe School and Tribal College, art exhibits and presentation at Tweed Museum on UMD campus, a stop to recreate and look at Ojibwe and Dakota constellations in the planetarium, and exploration of Enger Tower.
Day Three of our June Trip: Mille Lacs Museum and Trading Post, Jay Cooke State Park, end of day ice cream at Love Creamery. We learned how the Ojibwe people lived and moved throughout the four seasons and had a chance to play games and make dream catchers.
Day Two of our June Trip: Traverse De Sioux, Jeffers Petroglyphs, Reconciliation Park and shopping at Lakota Made. Students learned about treaties, the importance of gardening with the three sisters and the daily activities of the Dakota people.
Day One of our June trip: Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, Dakota Spirit Walk, Indian Mounds Region Park and St. Anthony Falls! Let the learning continue...
We went on a trip! Our Experiential Ed Trip: Focus on Dakota and Ojibwe Country of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Look at all the places we traveled! More photos to come over the next several days.
